This is a Greek mythology. A long time ago, human no fire, people eating raw food, fear of cold, life in the midst of darkness. Gods Prometheus and his brother Jesus had mercy on mankind，They took no care of the ban on the main god Zeus, stolen fire from the sun god Apollo,gave it to humanity,so humans learned to use fire. Since then, the earth had warm, they live in harmony environmentand lived very happily. Zeus learned of this, was very angry and decided to bring the catastrophe to human.

Zeus ordered his son Hephaestus to mould a woman with earth, named Pandora, having the meaning of all endowed. Each God had given her something to make her perfect. Aphrodite gave her beauty, Hermes persuasive ability, Apollo musical talent. Zeus gave Pandora a sealed box which filled with scourge, disaster and plagues and ask her to send it to her husband. Zeus took the beauty to the earth. On seeing the gorgeous lady, all the people were very surprised and desired to her, for they had never seen such a beautiful woman before.

Pandora immediately went to "the enlightened", Epimetheus, who was the younger brother of Prometheus, and honest and kind.Prometheus convinced Zeus to do malicious things for human and warned his brother Epimetheus not to accept Zeus's gift. But Epimetheus did not listen to the admonition and married beautiful Pandora. Pandora held her present which was a sealed big box. When she walked to the near of Epimetheus, she opened the lids of box due to her curiosity.

Epimetheus had no time to see what the gift box was, a stream of black smoke-the scourge of human swiftly came out from box. Black smoke which was full of disease, madness, disaster, evil, jealousy, adultery, theft, greed and other kinds of scourge of people scattered on the ground rapidly. The Athena, goddess of wisdom, in order to save the destiny of mankind quietly on the bottom of the box a beautiful thing, "hope" not enough time flying out of the box,Pandora closes the box.Therefore, the earth is full of a variety of disasters.

It was said that Pandora opened the box for curiosity about the last thing again! Some say: all the scourge were flying out of the box, and they spread all over the earth, but thanks 'hope' in our hands, so that we can bear this unfortunate life. Some say: from in the box were all flying out of happiness, they fled to the days prematurely, remained in our hands is just an empty illusion of hope. In fact, this box stood for the disaster and evil! Which is often used to compare as the root causes of disaster and misfortune.
